One of the most important things when traveling is having what you need at your fingertips. Apps help with that and as I was getting ready I went in search of some useful ones that I may need. These are the ones I not only liked, but have downloaded and am currently using.
PackPoint – This is must have app when traveling with a family. It is very simple and builds a custom packing list for me based on the length of my trip, weather, and activities. One of the great things is that I can edit the list and make sure all of my gear not only goes with me but makes it home as well.
GasBuddy – Okay this is my favorite! Since we are traveling by car this is important. You can see where the gas stations are as well as their prices. It will save us time while out of the highway.
Yelp – Okay I use this app regardless of where I am because I want to know what people think of a restaurant or something I am considering. It is important because I almost didn’t check recently before deciding on a place to eat. the place we were going to go had rat poop found in there by a customer. It was awful!! Thanks to Yelp I was able to pick a better place.
Trekaroo – This app makes finding kid-friendly activities in any city so much easier. It will give me suggestions from other parents which is important. I don’t know how much use this app will get but I am going to give it a go.
Roadtrippers – This will allow me to plan the trip ahead of time and share it with Ma. It will also allow me to find new places to add in for stops or visits. We are going to give a go and see what happens.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
