Vanilla French Toast

Apr 21, 2014 | Rita

I was planning on posting this last week but last week was so out of control for me. So I figured why not do it this week. Vanilla French Toast is something that my mother in-law told me about. Apparently they make often in Mexico and while I had only ever added spices and such I had never done it this was before. From the very first time I made it the kids and the rest of my family loved it. This is the breakfast they all ask for whenever they come to visit and it so easy to make.

The ingredigents for this recipe are fairly simple but I have a secret weapon that I use that makes this taste all the better……

That’s right! It is French Vanilla Liquid Creamer. It can be any brand and what I do is don’t fill the measuring cup with milk. Leave a little room and finish filling with the creamer. I get my 1/2 cup of milk with a combination of creamer and milk.

What a great idea! I would never have thought of adding flavored coffee creamer. Yum! My kids love french toast. I can’t wait to try this recipe.

I haven’t made French Toast in year’s but I love the idea of adding a little Coffemate.

I always forget about French Toast, which is strange, because I love it. Vanilla is my favorite flavor, too. I will bookmark this as a “breakfast for dinner” option.

I did not ever think to use coffee mate creamer to add more flavor to my food, especially French toast. This is a awesome tip. Going to give it a try. Thanks!

I was just noticing I have a bottle of really good vanilla extract I haven’t used – this would be perfect!
