VoiceQuilt

Sep 11, 2011 | Rita

When searching for a unique gift you can spend hours on the internet and/or in shops. I was given the chance to review such a gift that I was very impressed with. It is called VoiceQuilt. It is a truly unique gift that anyone would love using ore-recorded messages and/or music.

From VoiceQuilt Website:

We created VoiceQuilt™ to make it easy to celebrate a special person or couple with heart-felt toasts, tributes and memories. We believe that an individual’s favorite expressions, laughter and tone convey much more than words or images.
Our obsession is making VoiceQuilt as meaningful – and EASY – as possible. This means helping you create an electronic playlist of greetings and memories (a “VoiceQuilt”) that will delight your gift recipient. Once your VoiceQuilt is finalized, you can download or e-mail an electronic version for FREE. We also provide a selection of heirloom-quality keepsake gifts that will play and preserve each message. Our hope is that your VoiceQuilt will be enjoyed for many years to come, adding meaning to photographs, family trees and other important memorabilia.

TESTING VoiceQuilt:

Getting started with VoiceQuilt was easy. You choose a toll-free phone package, confirm everything and you’re all set. I gave the toll-free number to my brothers and sister and then had everyone call in leaving a message for our mother. It was simple and all the kids got to say something. I can then login and listen to the messages, delete any that said “I hate you mom!” and add music if I wanted. Now mine came on a cd but you can have the messages added to this beautiful keepsake box (shown at right.)

PROS of VoiceQuilt:

  •  Easy to use, simple to set up
  • Great for giving a unique gift
  • Perfect for those who live far way

Cons of VoiceQuilt:

  • Getting the kids to leave messages (in the end we had to bribe them with candy)
  • Figuring out what you are going to say but this is where the music can be handy.

I LOVE the idea for this. I think receiving that gift box would be a perfect present from those I miss.

This is so nice! I would love to have it for all my cards and letters that we got for our wedding!
