About the Books:
Each volume is a collection of short stories that have some very surprising twists at the end. things that you never really see coming which makes for an interesting read. I really liked that all of the stories were rather short and that the entire book could be read in a small amount of time. Although I must admit that having four volumes may seem a bit odd as I would have been just as happy with the stories if they were all in one volume.
My Thoughts on Volume 2:
Wacky Stories for Women Volume 2 is great. For eaxmple a couple of the stories are:
Phil mocks SLEEPLESS STACY, telling her that as a man he is far more suited for promotion— so what can she do to fix him good? Emma Darlington has decided to leave her family in a most appalling way— but what is going to happen to them when they are left WITHOUT MUM?
The twist at the end is always worth waiting for. These were all very reads and although I didn’t read the first collection I am sure they were just as good. Some of things that these people do really surprised me for example I really thought that Stacy wasn’t going to get her promotion but she is must more resourceful than what I gave her credit for.
My Thoughts on Volume 3:
Wacky Stories for Women Volume 3 is just as great as Volume 2. A couple of these stories are:
Alan dumped Debbie long ago, but is she prepared to GIVE IT A WHIRL again after seven years? NOBODY DOES IT BETTER, Cathy wants to reassure John. But can she get him to listen?
Alan dumps Debbie in a horrible way but the twist is perfect, I tell you! This collection of stories was actually more than great, I thought they were better than Volume 2 in so many ways.
My Thoughts on Volume 4:
Wacky Stories for Women Volume 4 is another great one. Like I said I really like that the stories are short because sometimes you just need a quick read. Again a few of the stories include:
Emily knows that MEN WILL SAY ANYTHING to get what they want, but can she be persuaded to take a chance on Jim? No man can resist TEMPTATION, and she can prove it any time, Jenny boasts to her friends….but has she bitten off more than she can chew on this occasion? Sally loves working on the PERFUME counter, but her boss seems intent on making her life miserable–isn‘t there anything she can do to fix the lousy creep?
These collection seem to simply get better and better as you read through each volume. I am not sure why that it but it just is. I have come to really expect to be surprised at then end of each because I always am. To be honest the only other time I can remember being this surprised in a collection of Fairytale Nightmare Short Stories I read a long time ago.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
