We all know that the lifestyle we choose has a huge effect on our health. Even so, many of us fail to make the changes necessary to live in the right way. And yet, we’re surprised when we fall ill. The worst part is, it’s not hard to live a healthy life. Small changes are all it takes. If you’re fed up of feeling under the weather, it’s time to start living the life you’ve been avoiding.
GET THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SLEEP
See, not such a difficult change, after all. Not getting enough sleep can have a tremendous impact on many aspects of your life. From leaving you with less energy to causing problems with your immune system, lack of sleep won’t do you well! Make sure you’re giving yourself the chance you deserve by getting enough of the stuff. You may try and stay up late to get more done, but it won’t work! A rested mind is more productive than a tired one. So, your attempts to be more productive will backfire. Instead, set a decent bedtime and stick to it. The amount of sleep necessary varies from person to person, but you shouldn’t be making do with less than 8 hours a night. Set in place a routine that works. Stock up on a good mattress, and pillows that cause you to fall asleep the moment you hit them.
THE RIGHT NUTRIENTS
It won’t be news to you that you need to ensure you’re getting the right nutrients. Diet has a huge impact on every aspect of our health. While we’re all aware of this, you may not be aware of quite how much damage a bad diet can do. As well as obvious issues, such as diabetes and heart disease, a bad diet can lead to problems like osteoporosis and even insomnia. Find out what you need, and do everything possible to get it. If you want to be certain, you could also use naturally sourced supplements, like those available from AlgaeCal Inc. If you’re unsure where to start, do a little research. If you think it’s necessary, you could even use the help of a nutrition specialist, or doctor. They’ll be able to see where you’re lacking and tell you how to improve the situation.
DROWN IN HYDRATION
If you don’t drink enough water, you aren’t alone. While we’re all aware hydration is important, few of us manage to drink the recommended daily amount of 6-8 glasses. What you might not know is how much of an impact good hydration has on your health. For starters, hydration will give you more energy. More energy means more willingness to get moving, which has got to be good. But, hydration also helps prevent muscle cramps, improves the condition of your skin, and helps clear your body of toxins. Not to mention that a dehydrated brain is a stressed one. Hydration may also have surprise effects on your mental well-being. So go on; give it a go!

Pardon me while I grab my water. I always have it within reach. I usually get 7-8 hours of sleep.

another great and informative post that sometimes we all need to be told again and again on how to care for us and really it’s quite easy to do

Rita, you’re so right–small, simple things do have a big impact. I know I’m a mess if I go a few nights in a row without enough sleep. This is a good reminder for me to make sure I eat well, even when I’m on my own. Thanks.
