Warriors in Pink is a great program that Ford created.
Ford Motor Company has been active in the fight against breast cancer since 1993. In 2006 Ford intensified its efforts by introducing Warriors in Pink and the Ford Warriors in Pink line of wear and gear. 100% of the net proceeds from all wear and gear sales is dedicated to the cause with donations going to charities that offer a wide-range of support.
If you choose to buy an item from FordCares, you have the choice of these places: Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (DSLRF), The Pink Fund and the Young Survivor’s Coalition (YSC). There are a variety of items from women’s to men and even children’s clothing. There are shirts, scarfs, and more!
My friend Brandy was lucky enough to be able to review something form Warriors in Pink and to be able to offer a giveaway as well. She is so great she is sharing her review with us and allowing Rita Reviews’ readers to enter the giveaway too! So check out her review and be sure to enter!
I chose to review the Sister-Hoodie. Now I will warn you that this item does run a little small. So if you win (or want to buy this item) please beware of size. I have washed and even worn this a couple times. Now granted it is during summer so I haven’t worn it outside just because of it being hot. But it’s still nice and soft even after washing it. It has these longer sleeves which are great for me. I love to tuck my hands in the pockets are in the sleeves when it’s cold outside. The hood is just big enough where it covers your head but doesn’t cover your entire face. Also it has the double zipper so if you want it a little looser at the bottom, just move the zipper up a smidge and there ya go. I apologize about the wrinkles in the pictures. My daughter was using it as a pillow/blanket and had it smooshed up.
In conclusion: I would recommend buying items from FordCares because not only do you get nice items BUT it also helps a great cause that you can choose from.
Now for the best part. Your chance to win one of these amazing Sister-Hoodie from FordCares.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

My sister in law, a friend, a cousin, and my mother in law all have had mastectomies from Breast Cancer. Our friend passed a few years back. I sure hope a cure finds its way soon…too many women (and even men) dx each year and such suffering and fear they and their families go through.

family, friends, acquaintances and of course the celebs. There are way too many that we have lost. Statistically there are too many incidences for people to say they don’t know anyone. Not all survivors are vocal – you see women wearing headcoverings because of hair loss working as cashiers in the stores, going to church on sunday. I may not know their name, but they are part of my community and deserve a prayer

Yes, my ex mother in law passed from breast cancer that then metasticized, 20 years ago. Two of my cousins (sisters) have had double mastectomies. My father died of lung cancer 26 years ago at the age of 46. He has one sibling left. He & 3 others passed from cancer. My mother is a 3 year lung cancer survivor. She had most of her right lung removed & continues to have good check ups. It runs rampant in our family.
