One of the most memorable moments of the summer happened when I forced everyone to get up to see the sunrise at the beach. It was our last day there and I was determined I was going to watch the sun come up.
Of course I also had wanted to watch the sun go down but that didn’t happen. That has been added to my bucket list of course. I would love to be able to watch the sunrise on the east coast and then watch it set on the west coast once. I don’t think that will happen. We weren’t sure that we were going to make it because we were slow moving.

Then I wasn’t sure if we weren’t going to look like a bunch of crazy people standing on the beach. Surprisingly that beach was pretty full with lots of people watching the sun come up. It went much faster than I thought it would. I don’t why I thought we would be out there for a while waiting for it to happen. It seemed like we got there and found a place to stand and then it was over. The reason could have been that we were a little late but I’m not sure.
Have you been out on either coast and watched the sunrise? I know that the east coast has so many beautiful spots to watch it as you can see above. Of those listed above I think that Cape Hatteras is the one place that I would love to go. There isn’t a reasons other than it is one of the places that I have always wanted to go see. Also I think it would be awesome to watch the sunrise from the jeep. Doesn’t that sound like something that you would l just love to do? It may be me but I bet it would be fun.
I will say that the Lincoln Memorial surprised me that it was on the list but I guess watching it as it bounced off the memorials or other building there can make it beautiful. I guess I was just thinking about the places where you had an unobstructed view of the horizon. Here at my home you can’t really watch the sunrise. There are too many trees in the way. Although I do go out onto the porch and enjoy the way the light changes through the trees as the sun comes up. It is part of my morning routine that gets me going for the day. If I lived at the beach though I can tell you that I would have myself out there on that beach each morning possible to watch the sunrise. There is something to be said about it. Something that is breathtaking. Since I live in place that doesn’t make it beautiful I do the best I can.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I live on the coast of South Carolina on Johns Island, a bridge away from Charleston.

You lucky thing! I would love to move to the coast. My brother and I even talked about looking into getting a shared place there.
