If you drive a car you need it,that is for sure! What is it? Car insurance, the trouble is finding cheap car insurance can be a bit of a hassle. You could spend hours talking to people on the phone, some companies require that submit your driving record and in the end may end up with too much or too little coverage.
That is where a company that helps you find cheap auto insurance can come in handy. I recently had the pleasure of using one as we are looking at all of our insurance policies to be sure we are getting the best rates and have all the coverage we need. All I had to do was enter my zip code and whether or not I already had insurance. I received some great rates from two top insurance companies that my current agent doesn’t even offer.
This is by far the easiest insurance quote I have gotten and I now have new coverage with a company that I not only know but one that I trust. Comes to find out we didn’t have enough coverage considering how much hubby is on the road. If something was to happen to him we would be hurting or God forbid he hit someone else but now with our new insurance we are covered.
Getting the car insurance that you need at the price you want can be tricky but I have found that with the right tools the process is less painful than a trip to the dentist. Everything was handled very quickly for our new insurance and now our vehicles are as safe and secure as we are (or as least as much as they can be.)
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Yea any type of insurance makes me go cross eyed with all the lingo and comparisons. But it sure is a blessing to have when something goes wrong, luckily I’ve never had to pay out, but a girl backended me once and her insurance paid me, phew!

i have used the same car insurance company for the past 20 years. there may be a slight difference in cost, but the service is a big factor for me and i like the way mine treats me and i have not had a reason to change.

Insurance something that I love and hate at the same time. It is true it is something we can’t do without.

We recently had all our policies reviewed by another company. We found out that we didn’t have enough coverage on our house or cars. What we also found out was that the company we had been with for almost 25 years was charging us way more then other companies bid our policies at. So now we have more coverage and save almost $800 a year! Everyone should take the time to have their insurance needs looked at.

Ugghh…ours is due by Monday. It is like you almost have to take out a loan to pay and we have had no claims for many many years. AND are having to add a teen son driver in a couple weeks. I hate this bill, but is just something you cannot do without.
Tammy, same thing here. My husband has always worked with a guy that his parents have for decades. But I told him we HAVE to let that end if we can get a better price.

It’s funny how you don’t think about car insurance until it’s time to pay the bill or you are in an accident. I have an agent (broker) who shops for rates/service every year. Unfortunately, had two claims this past year but no increase in rates!

Its always good to hear a positive story about insurance. I’ve had the same insurance company for the past 32 years – since I was 18 – and while I don’t think I pay the lowest price, I have always received very good service from them.

We do need insurance but honestly I do not like paying for it :/
My husband has been with our insurance company for a very long time and he is not willing to switch to get a better deal 🙁

Insurance…shudder! I really hate having to shop for coverage. There are so many factors, so many slight differences is coverage!

I will check into that. It is a pain because our house insurance would go up if we had it separate from our car insurance, so in the long run it’s not cheaper! Maybe if the cheaper car insurance company offers home owners as well, it would be ok. Thanks for the info!

It is so true about getting a good deal on car insurance. I wonder why car insurance companies keep raising their rates even when you have a perfect driving record? I have been with the same company and they have raised their rates. I think it is time for me to shop around! Thanks for the information!

State Farm, that’s where it’s at.

Insurance is a pain cause it keeps going up, but you are right can’t go without. Thanks for the info on getting easier quotes.

Thanks for the information! I’ve been thinking we really need to evaluate our options in regards to our insurance policy, mostly because I’ve had the same one since I started driving and really don’t know what all my options are. Will definitely have to check this out.

It’s good to be aware of cheap alternatives. However, cheap alternatives can also mean lousy service or challenges in submitting claims and getting paid. Insurance brokers can be great, as long as you find the right one.

I agree that insurance is something that you can’t do without. But that being said, even after being with one company for so many years, I would suggest that it pays to not only research into better deals from competitor insurance companies, but also keeping on top of any changes or new policy regulations that would change the price and coverage you have at your existing company. I’ve worked for an insurance agency and for as little as I did work there, I knew that changes were always occurring. There were many times that I had to update someone’s policy to reflect any changes that the person themselves had in their driving and/or the changes that the company had put into place, and unfortunately, sometimes the client had been paying too much or had too little coverage for how much they were driving. There are soo many factors that make up your rates that any changes that do occur can mean a discount and other times they mean an increase. I would check with your agent at least every 6 months or every year to make sure that your policies are up to date so that you are getting the best possible price for the best coverage you need. I would also ask around while still maintaining coverage so that you know how your payment and coverage compares with average rates/coverage between various companies.
