This is part of a sponsored post with JunkCarMasters.com. However all opinions are 100% my own.
If that is not the understatement of the year then I don’t know what is. We are some Jeep people and it is all thanks to my baby brother. He got his first Jeep years ago and then about ten years ago he really got into them. So much so that he started his own company.
I wasn’t that into the until I began riding with him. He makes it so much fun and is so enthusiastic about it that you can’t help but want to take part. Last summer we spent most of the time riding in his Jeep. Although I will tell you there was a moment where I had my foot hanging out since the doors was off. We were a back road and he yelled put your foot in but I didn’t pay any attention until the giant snake came flying out from under the tire. It was horrible and he laughed like there was no tomorrow.
He’s wonderful like that. In fact I asked him what would happen if my seat belt broke and I fell out. He said not to worry if I fell out and died he would cremate me and put me in a little jar in his glove box so I could ride with him everywhere. You just have to understand his sense of humor.
He comes by his love cars honestly. Our father loved them and spent many years taking the boys to car shows and more. Them working on cars and such was such a huge part of our lives growing up. I would love to say I know all sorts of things about them but I don’t. While I can understand why he would love cars I’m not sure why Jeeps in particular call to him.
For me I love knowing that I can ride around and feel the wind in my hair. It’s not like in a convertible. Riding in a Jeep is a whole new experience. Especially if you are riding in one that a serious Jeep addict has fixed up. It is not the same as riding in one that has not additions to enhancements. Those are like riding in cars. Serious Jeep people even have their own wave.
They also take tons of pictures of their Jeeps. In fact, I don’t know he manages to park in the middle of a road and take a picture but he does. I mean he just parked, got out and took a picture. He thinks about the pictures he is going to take as well. A year or so ago I had to stand on the corner of a small town that was decorated for the holidays.
He wanted pictures of the jeep coming down the main street with all of the decorations. We spent two hours taking pictures on that street. People stopped to watch and talk to us about it. When we got done I made him buy me lunch at the nicest restaurant in town. Of course the side of the building had a great mural which required another forty five minutes of pictures.
Please note that all images have been used with permission. Those are my brother’s Jeeps which means I simply post his images and he complains. Then I have to buy him Jeep parts and he says it’s okay.
