Winter is one of my favorite seasons of the year so this hop is certainly right up my alley. One thing that I have always loved is the snow. I feel like we just don’t get enough of it and wish we did. Hopefully this year we will get a little more.
I remember the year we headed to North Carolina and Sugar Mountain so that we could ski and snow tube. It was one of the best weekends I had in a while. The funny thing was I was supposed to have gone home but ended up extending our vacation so that we could go when they had a big snowfall.
The funny thing is that while I loved every moment in the snow and with everyone, the best part of that day was when we had lunch. There is a little barbeque place there that is simply to die for. We were tired, cold, and starving. So, when we decided to stop, honestly we would have eaten anything. Yet, we spent an hour enjoying every bite and generally having a great day. Even if I had to ride all the way up there and back cramped in the backseat of the Jeep.

We live in Kentucky so winters are about 40 degrees, not bad. I love the crisp weather. It makes me feel alive and gives me energy.
I love to play in the snow with my grandbabies. They live in Georgia and don’t see snow often especially enough to build a snowman. When they come for Chirstmas, we love to spend time building a big snowman.

I have a love/hate thing about the winter. I love the peace to be found while it’s snowing. There is just something so quite and calming about a gently falling snow. However, I have RA, so wet and cold is an enemy as it brings a lot of pain.

Since I am trying to have a more positive outlook I’ll say that I do love winter fashion. Everything is so fluffy and warm.

I hate winter in northwest Florida. One day it is 75 degrees. Then the next 4 days the temperature does not get above 50 degrees during the day and 30 degrees at night. It is a constant yo yo temperature wise. Getting harder on me as I get older.
