This the front side of my house. I hate these azalea bushes because once they have stopped blooming they look like this. I really want to do something different but I am not sure what and I am not the world’s best gardener. I can kill a tree if given the chance. Does anyone know anything that would look good against the house and goes with pine trees?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I personally would go to the nearest greenhouse and ask them what they would suggest. Not knowing the type of climate or sun/shade it is hard telling. You could spruce it up with perhaps some annuals but those would be in front of the bushes. It depends too on if you all trim the bushes back or they are still growing. Azaleas are gorgeous!

A good idea. As far as shade goes, all we got is shade. We lie in the woods and there is very little sun exposure at all. In fact our backyard has a patch of grass and that’s it. The rest of the yard is covered in leaves.

Awww—but I love Azaleas! Maybe trimming them neatly after they bloom and planting something like Impatiens in front for more blooming color would be nice.

I never thought of impatiens. May have t see how easy they are to keep up.

I really agree with your opinions about the azaleas. Our city have them everywhere and it look so bad because they do not keep up with the trimmings and look wild and messy
