Today’s What to Wear Wednesday is a bit different, it’s Sound Beginnings! Just what is Sound Beginningsyou ask. Well it is a soft fabric band with built-in speakers that allows pregnant women to play music to their unborn baby. It also allows you to listen to the music at the same time. It is washable and comes in three colors choices: White, Black and Nude.
I was sent a white band to review and I must tell you that when they say soft they mean soft. It is super soft and very comfortable to wear. Using it is very easy, it comes with a splitter and you simply plug you Mp3 player into the one side and the cord from the belt into the other. Now both you and baby can hear whatever music you like. The little pouch holds all of the cords and your player. When it gets dirty you take out your player and headphones as well as the splitter.Tuck the attached cord into the pocket and throw it in the washing machine. It still works perfectly when it comes out. I love that this can be worn even after your pregnancy when you are exercising (my idea) because you could have your Mp3 players tucked safely in the pocket and the band doesn’t cause you to sweat.
The other thing that is great is Sound Delivery. Sound Delivery offers parents, friends, and family a unique way to bond with an unborn baby through the sound of your voice! All you need is a telephone, you then record a message for the baby and then the file can be downloaded to your Mp3 player. This is perfect if you have family members who live far away or if you and your husband are a part during any part of your pregnancy or even if you want baby to hear another language. The Sound Delivery system will be available in Spanish soon so it is prefect for us!

I remember years ago when the idea of music for unborns was popular women would sew pockets on the front of their maternity shirts and put a small radio there!
