What’s Your Song?

Feb 27, 2012 | Rita

I have never been the kind of girl to have a song with any guy but if there was ever a song that describes my relationship with my wonderful husband it is Todo Cambio by Camila.

The song is in Spanish but here is the English translation  of the words for you:

Everything changed

Everything changed when I saw you
From black and white to color I changed

And it was so easy
Loving you so
Something I never imagined [doing]
Was giving you my love
With one look

Everything quivered
Inside of me
It was written by the universe that you’d belong to me

And it was so easy
Loving you so
Something I never imagined [doing]
Was losing myself in your love
It just happened
And now I am all yours

Before I spend anymore
Time at your side, love
I must say that you’re the love of my life
Before I love you any more
Please listen
Let me say that I’ve given you everything
It’s difficult to explain
But it’s even harder to take notice
It just struck me that way
When I saw you

I was surprised
By everything about you
From black and white to color
I changed

I know it’s not easy
Saying I love you
Nor did I expect it to be
But that’s the way love goes
It just happened
And now I am all yours

Before I spend anymore
Time with you
I must say that you’re the love of my life
Before I love you anymore
Please listen
Let me say that I’ve given you everything
And it’s difficult to explain
But it’s even harder to take notice
It just struck me that way
When I saw you

Everything changed
When I saw you

The song is truly beautiful and I hope that you will all take the time to listen to it and watch the video. Camila is one of my favorite groups (and before you ask yes  I do listen to music that is in English, I also listen to French music) This is just the way I felt and still feel about my husband. Every time I look I him I fall in love all over again. What is your song? Share it with me in the comments.

Phooey for songs having to belong to a relationship…My song is “Memory” by Bon Jovi. I think it depicts my youth to adulthood so perfectly. It emulates my relationship with all the people in my life.

We don’t really have a song but my song for NY is “You’re Just To Good To Be True”. It’s simply how I feel about him. ;D

Thank you for the translation. It is beautiful. I wish I could understand Spanish. Years of trying and it just never clicked for me. I really feel for anyone trying to learn English as a second language as it is said to be so much harder than Spanish. Sorry for rambling.

I am still trying to learn Spanish but it works out good when we argue I don’t always know what he is saying because he forgets English when he’s angry.

I think it’s so great that you’re still in love with your husband. I agree, music can evoke very powerful emotions within us.

I’m not sure my husband and I have a specific song but we did play “What Are You Doing For The Rest of Your Life” by Na Leo Pilimehana at our wedding.

I love music… in all languages too!! I have so many favorites for many different reasons… BUT the song that my Hubby and I danced our 1st dance at our wedding is Angel Eyes by the Jeff Healy Band and our last dance of the night was to God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts 🙂
