Where the Video Game Characters Live

Have you thought about the type of home the characters from your favorite classic video games would live? Take a few minutes and really think about it. I bet you came up with really outrageous visuals didn’t you? I was have this discussion with my uncle recently and he decided that video characters homes would reflect the amount of points or money you make when you play those games.

I didn’t think so, in fact, I felt that they would reflect the character and maybe how popular they were at their highest point. You know like everyone loved Mario at one point but now it is a different game. For example I am certain that Mario’s hose would have a pizza oven, state-of-art plumbing (since he’s a plumber and all) and maybe leans a little like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Could just imagine the real estate listing on it? I bet the kitchen though would be awesome! Donkey Kong is another character but we couldn’t agree on his home at all. I thought he would have a luxury tree house (you’ve seen them on that show) since he’s a ape and all. Maybe he’s a gorilla, I don’t know. My uncle thought he would be tired from swinging from tree to tree and have himself a mansion somewhere. Some place where he would have a ton of servants to bring him bananas whenever he wanted them. I still don’t think so. I think he would have a tree house with five or six rooms, a view of the jungle to kill for, and some little Kong grand babies running around. You know cause he had a Donkey Kong Jr, I am almost certain. If I’m wrong then he will have grand kids because he is super old. I know because I’m old and I can remember playing his game when I was young. I’m talking all the way back to like Atari. Shhh, don’t tell anyone. Mostly because I would have to explain what all that was.

For example the above picture is spot on for me in regards to Pac-Man. There was always something a little dark about him but check out that acreage! I love the required disclosure since he was always running away from ghosts but I would how the misses would feel about him putting the house on the market. I would what the deal is with bedroom to bathroom ratio though. I mean I get one extra one for guests maybe even a 1/2 bath cause you don’t want to have to go upstairs all the time. Maybe one is just for the ghosts? Come on! I don’t have that many bathrooms although I will tell you there are days when I wish I did. Maybe an outhouse that I could go hide in for a little while. One with plumbing of course, maybe I need to call Mario and Lugi.  🙂
