If you are keen to make sure that your job is not too harmful or dangerous for you, then part of the consideration here should be what industry you are choosing to work in. The fact of the matter is that some industries are definitely going to be more dangerous than others to live in, and you need to make sure that you are considering this when looking for your next job. Let’s take a look here at some of the most dangerous industries to work in, and what you might be able to do to keep yourself safe while working.
Construction
The world of construction is pretty much the single most dangerous industry of all, regardless of which way you define dangerous. Whether you are looking at most injuries, likelihood of illness or number of deaths, construction pretty much beats all the rest. Of course, you can keep your chances of this happening low by taking care and choosing carefully which sites you work on, but there is always going to be some risk involved with this kind of work. On the whole, construction is easily the most dangerous type of profession you can have.
Maritime
Another area that proves incredibly dangerous, however, is the world of maritime work. This involves sailors as well as those working on offshore oil rigs and the like, and it’s some of the most demanding work there is. As with anywhere else, workers have a right for the workplace to be as safe as possible, but it’s just the case that it is always going to be somewhat dangerous at sea. If you want to do this kind of work, get a maritime injury lawyer first and make sure you are taking care as you go.
Healthcare
Healthcare is one of the most important kinds of jobs out there, of course, and for that reason it’s also in demand a lot of the time. There are many stressors involved in healthcare, and it is one of the most stressful kinds of workplace you can be in. That alone can be dangerous, because it means you are more likely to become ill from your work. There are other dangers too, including the fact that you are exposed to a lot of illnesses every day. All in all, then, this is a really dangerous area to work in, albeit a rewarding one too.
Logistics
You might not think of logistics as being all that dangerous, but bear in mind that most of the jobs in the logistics industry are based around driving, and driving is always going to pose some risks to the driver, as well as other road users. Driving a truck or lorry for a living puts you at risk of crashes and accidents, and it’s the kind of thing that you need to make sure you are taking care with. All in all, it’s a dangerous profession, and one that you need to be careful around regarding taking regular breaks as well.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Thank you for sharing this information, I have worked in factory/warehouse type environments most of my life with a few forages into retail and I think that the industries that you have mentioned above are more dangerous to a greater number of employees overall. However I have personal knowledge of several individuals who lost their lives or received severe physical injuries in the factory/warehouse setting as well.
