December has been the month from well you know. Not much has been good about this month. There has been a lot of personal stuff going on that I don’t want to get into right now. The big blog news is that on Christmas Eve of all days Wickedly Romance, my book blog, went down. I’m talking like everything just gone for some reason.
At three am I’m on the phone trying to figure out what has gone on. All weekend everything was just messed up. The irony of it all was that I have been slowly working on a new blog, Storied Conversation, for some time. My plan was to take getting it set up slow. That went right out the window with the meltdown. Everything need to get fixed and fast.
I have been scrambling to get things fixed and corrected. It isn’t easy let me tell you. After crying for a full day it seems thinking I had lost everything. I discovered that I did in fact still have man of my posts in my database but couldn’t transfer or do anything with them. that meant having to go through each and every one (three years worth) and adding them manually.
For my Next Trick
Cue the tears again! I mean, that is so much work and I am not opposed to it but this was a lot considering I still have regular book reviews and other work to do. Then suddenly Monday morning everything began working again. However, my mama didn’t raise no fool so I immediately took all of the posts and moved them. Not all of the images moved for some reason and I am missing a handful of posts but I can handle replacing those.
Of course I have to fix the images along with all of the other things I had originally planned as well. I’m not as upset about it all today. Today I am grateful that I have less work than I had on Sunday. I won’t feel as though I will never get it all done.
Visit Storied Conversation & Sign Up for the Newsletter
Make sure you head over and check out Storied Conversation. Also sign up for the newsletter there. The reason is that it will have a separate newsletter from The Rita Report beginning January 1st! Each blog will go back to having their own newsletter so if you want codes to use in giveaways over there you will need to sign up for that one. Don’t worry once you are there you will see the signup forms. they are all over the place. Also a little heads up, there is a big giveaway coming there in the next couple of days. Hopefully later today but it may been tomorrow.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I was wondering what happened, but I was hoping it would come back. So it fixed itself? That has happened to me before when I am blog surfing.

I tried going to Your website also and it took me to a page like it wasn’t there. Usually that page says something like payment hasn’t been made for that domain but it didn’t say anything. I’m glad you recovered most all of it. It seems like their service should have backups or something when that happens. I know you had to be beyond upset.
