Winter is certainly coming and this is always one of my favorite hops brought to you by the wonderful gals over at The Mommy Island, and  The Kids Did It! I love these hops because they are just so much fun. I love just keeping the hops simple and easy to enter.

I like this hop because I love the theme of it. I am a winter gal! I love the snow and cold weather. Although I will admit that in my part of Georgia snow doesn’t happen very much if at all. We go some years where we are wearing shorts on Christmas day.

I’m the girl who prays for a white Christmas every year and one year we got one. It was my father’s last Christmas with us and he spent it in the hospital. However, we got the snow and that is one thing I have always been grateful for. My dad loved the snow and would go outside and play with us in it.

I think that is one of the reasons I enjoy it so much. The memories that it invokes are just so wonderful. My younger brother gets way more snow than we do and he sends pictures every year. Of course I tend to send hateful replies but hey that’s a sister’s prerogative.

  2. I love the snow although we don’t get nearly enough where I live. I also love the longer nights and shorter days and I prefer cold weather to the heat and humidity of summer. Thank you so much for participating in this Hop! Happy Holidays to you and your family

  4. I love winter because I am so hot natured for several reasons. One is menopause, another is 2 medications I take and it is no fun to be sweating when everyone else is cold. But in winter I can open my window or go outside and cool off usually, in Mississippi we often have warm days even in winter.

  5. It is so hot and humid here right now, I would love some snow and a mug of hot soup in front of a fire while watching The Holiday on tv.

  7. I don’t like the cold of winter, but I like the coziness of a soft blanket and warm socks!

  8. i love snow but people here on the west coast cant handle it and everything shuts down! i like to take walks in snow!

  9. I actually have a love/hate relationship with winter. I love how pretty the snow is and the excitement of the holidays, but I hate the shoveling, the cold, and having to bundle up to go outside.

  12. I really hate winter. I loved it when I was young, but now that I’m older I have so much trouble walking on snow and ice. Yuck!

  13. I dislike the cold but love hot chocolate, but to be honest I’ll drink hot chocolate during the summer too!

  14. Growing up in Buffalo, NY winter was not my favorite. Now living in Florida I enjoy our winter season very much! I guess it depends on where you live!

  15. I hate winter. I hate the cold gloomy days and that it gets dark so early. I lived in Fl for about 8 years and that spoiled me I think.

  16. I love winter for the bush trail walks and outside fires. I don’t like winter because my sweetheart has raynauds and it leaves his hands and feet super cold.

  17. Winter is certainly not my favorite but I grew up in colder climates. I simply know how to tollerate it. Perpetual fall would be very cool.

  19. Winter is my favorite season! I love cold weather and snow. I love wearing cozy sweaters and decorating for the holidays too!

  21. I like winter for a couple months but then I get tired of it. I like to see snow around Christmas to add to the holiday spirit and I like to cross country ski. I don’t like the extreme cold or driving on snow.

  22. I actually love and enjoy everything about winter in Michigan except for how long it takes to dry my hair after I shower. I don’t use heat tools on my long hair and it takes a LONG TIME!

  24. I love this time of year because of the Holidays and all the fun that comes with those! I also love this time of year because we get a break from the summer heat. I don’t like when it gets too cold though.

  25. I do really hate winter here. We only have under 50 fully sunny days per year and the winter is the worst, always cloudy and wet.

  28. I love winter for it’s beauty and the lovely scenery. I dislike the bitter cold having Fibromyalgia and diabetes neuropathy in my left leg.

  33. I actually don’t mind winter. It affects my joints, but other than that, it’s nice to cozy up to the fireplace now and then when it gets really cold and just enjoy no bugs and no sweating haha.

  50. I love the cooler temperatures of winter and getting to turn on the oven and bake without feeling the house is in a heatwave. I love breathing in the crisp cool fresh air but I hate Winter’s freezing temperatures that insist we turn on the heaters, drying out the air and our sinuses!

  52. I love winter because I love winter sports. I love playing in the snow with my granddaughters. I love watching the snow fall while I roast a chicken for family dinner.

  59. I both love and hate winter haha. I love the snow – the look, the sound, the way outside feels so peaceful – but I hate touching and shoveling it. I love the cold and dressing in layers and the reprieve from the heat, but I hate the gas bill!

  87. I don’t really get to experience winter because I live in Southern California. I’d love to visit somewhere that has winter and snow, although I know it can be frustrating when you are stuck in it all season long.

  92. I’m definitely not a winter fan. I don’t like the cold at all. I like it even less when it’s cold and icy or we have a lot of snow.
