How many of you go camping? We do from time to time. What sort of food do you take with you? We recently discovered Wise Food Storage and I was very impressed. Growing up in a military family I have had MREs ( meals ready to eat) and they were okay. Most freeze-dried food is alright.
The Wise Company puts MREs to shame I hate to say. We received Cheesy Lagazna with Meat and Apple Cinnamon Cereal both of who are shelf stable foods. You add boiling water, wait a few minutes and you have a meal. It is easy and good tasting. Wise Food Storage has a variety if foods to choose from and while they ate perfect for camping or even hiking They are even better for emergency kits. We all know we should have one with enough good and water for each family member for seven days. Now I have finally found the place to get the food.
Wise Food Storage has Grab & Go food kits that are perfect for being prepared for emergencies. I also really like their Essential Survival Kit which is shown in the photo below. This would be perfect for camping or if we go out hiking. It would also be great in an emergency.

These would be great to have on hand for emergencies. One of the things that happens when storm like hurricanes are expected is that the grocery shelves empty right away. Then in the aftermath, you just don’t know when you can get out and what will be available. These would be great to have on hand if you live in an area prone to storms.

These products seem like they are in a different class outside of MREs. I really don’t know much about MREs but you think about pretty tasteless food in little squares. We do not have anything like this for emergencies.

With so many very real emergencies in the past and not showing chance of waning, these really would be a great idea to store in a storm shelter. Not sure if we’d use for camping when there are pudgie pie breakfasts and smores to be had! Thanks for the info Rita…never have I seen this on any other blog!
