Wow that picture certainly stirs some emotions. It is so hard to imagine what these men had to go through.

It does stir the emotions. When I was little my Grandfather would tell us about landing at Normandy. He lied about his age to get in and was terrified that he would be pulled from service when the Army found out he was the youngest son. He said after the Sullivan’s were killed the Armed Services just wouldn’t take everyone anymore. Both his sister and brother were already serving and he wanted to as well. He told all sorts of war stories from the beaches of Normandy to the fields of Vietnam.
