Causes Of 4 Common Skin Issues

Mar 27, 2023 | Rita

Are you worried about issues with your skin? There are lots of skin issues that are a lot more common than most people realize. If you want to tackle these the right way, then you need to understand their causes. Here are some of the key examples that are worth thinking about.

Acne

Do you have issues with acne? You’re far from alone here. A lot of people struggle with acne and it impacts millions of people on some level across the country. If you are worried about this, then we recommend that you think about speaking to a dermatologist. This is the best way to handle the acne skin condition. In terms of flare ups, you might want to focus on elements such as your diet. While your diet can’t directly cause acne, it can make it significantly worse and cause you to develop bigger, more painful spots on your face and other parts of your body.

Eczema

A lot of people think that eczema is a condition that you are born with. However, there are lots of different causes of eczema that can make the condition significantly worse. For instance, research shows that eczema can be caused from a wide variety of different factors. One example would be dust particles in the air. This is why it’s important to make sure that you are cleaning your home regularly to avoid issues with dust articles in the air. You can also think about using an air con system to keep the air in your home clean and free of issues with dust.

Itchy Skin

Another skin issue that you might struggle with would be itchy skin. Itchy skin has a variety of causes that are worth considering. For instance, you might find that it’s due to an allergic reaction. Usually, this will be due to materials in your clothing that you aren’t aware of. You might think that your clothing is 100% cotton but this isn’t always the case. Here’s how to tell if fabric is 100% cotton. Cotton feels different when it’s 100% pure, it will also say so on the label.

Dry Skin

Finally, if you are finding that your skin is particularly dry then you may wish to consider exploring a different skin routine that will improve the overall health of your skin. This is particularly important as you get older. When you age, your skin begins to lose its natural moisture and this means that your skin is going to be noticeably dry. The right moisturizer will help ensure that your skin looks plump, smooth and healthy. There are lots of moisturizers to consider. As such, you do need to make sure that you choose the right option that will be suitable for your skin type specifically.

We hope this helps you understand some of the key steps that you can take if you are struggling with some of the more common skin issues. In doing so, you can guarantee that your skin remains healthy, happy and doesn’t become a nuisance for you throughout the day.

Thanks so much for this timely post! Timely for me as I visited my dermatologist this afternoon, not for any of the issues listed here although I do suffer from some of the above.

I like to take very hot showers which is certainly contributing to my dry skin problem!

As an Eczema sufferer I can fully say that weather plays an issue AND diet! I notice I have more flare ups if I consume too much gluten!

As I’ve gotten older, dry skin has become an issue for me. I have very sensitive skin too, so it can be hard finding an appropriate moisturizer.

I can’t get enough moisturizer on my skin. I had Eczema as a child and then Psoriasis as an older adult. I have both under control. I just have dry skin due to getting older.

Now that I’m older my skin is dryer. When I was young it used to be oily.

I have rosacea, which is tricky because it mimics acne a lot of the time, but needs much gentler treatment. (Tip: if what looks like a pimple has a perfectly round bump, it’s more likely rosacea.
