Family Friday: May 12, 2017

May. 12, 2017

It’s Friday again and that means I am bringing you an update on the family. We will be checking in with the senior citizens in the house as well as the kiddos and all of the other craziness that I call my daily life. I wouldn’t change a single moment of it even if there may have been moments when I wanted to pull my hair out.

Life at Shady Pines

If you are new to the blog Shady Pines is what I call my house because of the senior citizens that live with me. It is my nod to The Golden Girls. Ma this week has been attempting to get everyone and their brother (including hers) to tell her what her presents are for Sunday. She has attempted to open them and is generally driving me crazy. She is like a kid a Christmas.

The Kiddos

Having four kids around the house can be trying at times. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them to death. They are still finishing out school this week. We have two weeks left in our homeschool schedule and they will have vacation. The older kids have been watching lots of CNN because they are very interested in this whole Russia thing. I try to limit their time watching it but I am thrilled they want to learn more. Of course mentions of Watergate meant we had to have a whole discussion and explanation on that.

Goings on with Me

With me I have been working hard attempting to not only get ready for vacation but get things done here. There is a ton of stuff getting posted today and hopefully you will enjoy it all. I am so excited about the things that are coming!!
