Friday cocktails July 2 2021- Rita Reviews

The Fourth of July is in a couple of days and I thought i would dedicate this Friday Cocktails to celebrate that day a little early. I love the fourth because of all the memories I have of attending cookouts and fireworks when I was growing up. It is something that I have worked hard to be sure that my own children get to have as they grow up as well.

We will be having a cookout this year and I am knee deep in getting the menu together for it. I will be heading back from vacation as well so this year I wanted to keep things low key. Every year I have one plan but it always seems to grow out from there.

MISSING THE KIDDOS

I will say has been fun to have some time on my own but I am certainly missing the kiddos now. I’m ready for summer to be over so they will be back home and we can be back into our daily routine. It is always hard when they aren’t with me. I know and understand they need time with their father as well but it still hurts.

BACK TO THE SENIORS

I’m heading back tot he senior citizens shortly though which will help make things seem a bit more normal. As I said I always love my time alone but I worry about the seniors as much as I do the kids. I want to be sure they have been eating properly and taking care of themselves. I know they have but I won’t stop worrying until I see them with my own eyes.

March weather has a personality of its own. One day it feels like spring is standing at the door with sunshine in hand. Welcoming March
There is something about the turning of a calendar page that feels hopeful, even when nothing else has changed. March has arrived, and I find myself greeting it quietly. Not with big plans.
