The Fourth of July is in a couple of days and I thought i would dedicate this Friday Cocktails to celebrate that day a little early. I love the fourth because of all the memories I have of attending cookouts and fireworks when I was growing up. It is something that I have worked hard to be sure that my own children get to have as they grow up as well.
We will be having a cookout this year and I am knee deep in getting the menu together for it. I will be heading back from vacation as well so this year I wanted to keep things low key. Every year I have one plan but it always seems to grow out from there.
MISSING THE KIDDOS
I will say has been fun to have some time on my own but I am certainly missing the kiddos now. I’m ready for summer to be over so they will be back home and we can be back into our daily routine. It is always hard when they aren’t with me. I know and understand they need time with their father as well but it still hurts.
BACK TO THE SENIORS
I’m heading back tot he senior citizens shortly though which will help make things seem a bit more normal. As I said I always love my time alone but I worry about the seniors as much as I do the kids. I want to be sure they have been eating properly and taking care of themselves. I know they have but I won’t stop worrying until I see them with my own eyes.

A BBQ with the family.
I am staying home this 4th of July and trying to keep cool we are in a dangerous heat wave here. We are all worried about the fire danger.
We’ll be doing a bbq as usual. By the pool in the backyard. Only 8 of us in total cause we still have some covid restrictions in place. We’ll be watching the town’s firework show too. 🙂
I’m going swimming with my best friend, then she’ll do BBQ.
Thanks for the contest.

I just moved, so I will most likely be unpacking on July 4th.
We’ll stay home and watch movies.
Pool party at my brothers.
Lots of BBQING and camping.
A small bbq and watching fireworks safely from our 14 th floor condo. Florida 🙂
I don’t have any plans for the 4th of July weekend. I’ll just be doing a lot of reading and housework

No plans, I stayed home and rested.
We went downtown to watch the firework display!
We had a nice get together with some of the extended family and friends
I went for a boat ride, water skiing and then mini golfing with my mom!
Watched the fireworks at home.
We just had a family BBQ and relaxed watching movies.
Staying at home to be safe
Not in the US, so it was a regular day for us
I am in Canada so we’ll be just relaxing in our back yard
We spent the 4th with family, friends, food and fireworks! Thanks for sharing!
