Friday Cocktails – September 9, 2022

Sep. 09, 2022

Friday Cocktails - September 9, 2022

Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! This week has been a busy one. I have been working on a new schedule and I will say that it seems to be paying off. I take weekends off typically but for most of the year the weekends have been filled with catching things up. Things that I let get behind or that just naturally fell behind. It has left me with such a feeling of failure. I have been making an effort to get back to weekends off.

Although I have worked the last two, both of those weekends have been in an effort to get things settled so I can take the future ones off. I am happy to report that I will certainly be able to do just that. It is funny how things seem so easy to just put off. If I’m not feeling my best I can just say I will do it tomorrow. Then tomorrow gets here and it doesn’t get done. It is a habit I am working towards breaking.

I have also been working on getting back to God. I have fallen off going to church whether in person or online in the last couple of months. Life has been tough and I have been more than a little upset at things. In being upset I have fallen away. That is something I am trying to change. I know that there are some readers who will step away after reading that I am discussing God. Any time I do I always get emails from people who say they will no longer follow me because I talk about my faith. There was a time when I would have started this paragraph with I am sorry to put anyone out.

The truth is from time to time I discuss my faith. My imperfect, always changing, striving for better faith. It is who I am. I can’t change that about myself even though I did once in an attempt to make others happy. All it does is make me miserable. If faith or religion isn’t your cup of tea, that’s okay. Just skip ahead in your reading. I will say that I may have some news soon when it comes to my faith to share with y’all. I am taking it a bit slow and weighing the pros and cons of a few things before I jump in with anything.

Friday Cocktail Giveaways

The giveaways for these posts will begin again in October. I want to see how the Rafflecopter does in the Month in Review post and a couple of other ones. I don’t want to have a bunch of them running and then they not work. That will leave me scrambling attempting to fix them.
