A Gilded Christmas with Gilded Gears

Jan 07, 2014 | Rita

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

This holiday was one that taught me many things and I am grateful that I decided to give the beautiful necklace from Gilded Gears to my mom.Gilded Gears is the brainchild of two sisters, Emily and Rebekah Sather. Their love of beautiful, unique jewelry combined with their love for Clockwork-style Victorian makes this the perfect business.

A Gilded Christmas Thanks to Gilded Gears

They sent me one of their Clockwork-style necklaces for review and while I loved it the moment I saw it something told me that it was meant for my mother. So I wrapped it up for her and hoped she would love it. She did and while it does not come close the gratitude I have for her I hope she knows that she is as special this beautiful piece. The gears in the necklace remind me of something made years ago, in the Victorian. It looks as though it was something passed down from generation to generation.

Clockwork Necklace

However one thing that I love about Gilded Gears is that while these pieces look as though they have been passed down and are worth a great deal they don’t carry the price tag that many pieces similar carry. They are affordable and the perfect size. I actually have a necklace passed down from my great-grandmother and I can tell you that I don’t wear it because it is far to big and heavy for me to manage. Another great thing is if you are looking for something custom then Gilded Gears can help you with that as well.

How very special. I love the piece. I agree that it looks like it has been passed down. Love that.

It looks like an antique piece! I like the look of the clockwork pendant, especially because it is inspired by Victorian jewelry! Thanks for sharing!

What a neat idea! I love how unique this necklace is. It isn’t like any other necklace I have seen. It really does look like a family heirloom.

I haven’t seen a necklace like this before. It’s very unique. Different from the norm. I like it. But I like different and unique things.
