April saw our doctor’s appointments slow down a bit. There weren’t as many and although other things happened I could not be more thrilled that it slowed down as much as it did. I completed my sleep study last night and am waiting for those results. Y’all know how much I hate waiting for them. I also planned our vacation this year for the summer. It will be in July with the kids. I can’t wait for that to roll around. We all really need a little bit of time with nothing to really do.
Things have been fairly quiet around here lately, which has allowed me to rest and recover nicely. I have been handling my self care a little better as well. I am making headway through my list of to be read books so those reviews will be making their way to Storied Conversation soon. I also have finally started pitching again here for reviews.
What Else
I have gotten so much of my work done. For that, I am more than a little bit grateful. I can say that I am more than three months ahead in my writing as of this moment. I do still need to edit and add images to all of the posts, but I am getting there. I didn’t know that being sick would push me and make me as determined as it has. I expected to be down in bed, but I am more active now, even though I take it much more carefully. I take naps when I need them and no longer push myself harder than I need to.
Shows & Activities
I am currently watching The Thing About Pam with Ma. It is a show we are loving and found unbelievable. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend it. We also watched Death on the Nile this month because I am a huge Agatha Christie fan. IT was good although different from the book. I highly recommend though if reading isn’t your thing and you want to experience the brilliance that is Dame Christie. For those who don’t know, and I had to look it up myself, she is a Dame because she was knighted.

1.I loved sharing my little garden project with y’all. Things are growing nicely and I can’t wait for it all to bloom. Be sure to watch my social media for pictures.
2. I also shared my new planners with y’all which I am still perfecting of course. They have helped so much this month. I don’t feel overwhelmed when I look at them. In fact, I enjoy sitting down and seeing what is in store for the day. The smaller has made appointments and doctor’s notes breeze. I don’t why I didn’t think of this better.
3.I also shared how much I hate all the waiting I have to do when it comes to doctors and test results. It drives me right up a wall I tell you. I need those answers now not in three to six weeks.

For April got 25 miles in altogether. While it wasn’t my goal for the month is wasn’t far off from it at all. Each month gets a little better.

My month was uneventful and to be honest, I am disappointed in myself. I did not begin my spring cleaning as I had planned to do, I did not make any of the doctors appointments that I should have and I did not read any of the awesome books on my TBR. I am hoping that May will bring me out of this lethargic slump that I have been in…

My dog was sick for a week and that wrecked my sleep. Luckily he’s better now. I was able to do some spring cleaning this week.

My month was both good and bad! We found out that my daughter has Vasculitis and spent time in the hospital with her kidney’s about to shut down, she also has congestive heart failure and she’s extremely anemic! While the problems are long term, at least we finally know what is wrong with her and she has started her treatments on her kidneys, they have to wait until we know how her kidney medications are working (in case they have to change them) before they can decide what medications she will need for her heart because the heart medications interfere with most kidney medications! Truck is broke down so while it is making it hard for her to go to work and for me to take everyone including her to her appointments and my granddaughter to her leap tests coming up next week, it at least let me go back and forth, while she was in the hospital. I finally was able to get the paints I need to at least get the base coat on the walls as I am trying to decorate my home, been here two years and so far have only finished my granddaughters room and I haven’t been able to do any of the other rooms, still don’t have a lot of furniture either but it feels so good to be able to say this is HOME!

I have been enjoying the nice weather we have been having. I’m working in my garden and decluttering my garage. I tend to keep things around thinking I will use it but I usually don’t.

Hmm…mine is pretty boring! I live with and help take care of my elderly Mom so I don’t get out much or do much of anything! I miss going out and having fun with friends but I will again someday. Anyway, I do enjoy the time I spend with my granddaughters and my grown kids. God bless and good luck to everyone! Please stay safe.

We bought a 2 month old husky/lab mix. She is so sweet and fits in well with our family. Our 10 year old grumpy lab mix has even warmed up to her! My 23 year old came home for 2-1/2 weeks since they are between jobs! It has been a busy but fulfilling month!

Snow storm. Snow storm. Another snow storm. A bit of crying. Another snow storm. It’s melting, yay! Another snow storm. Depression sets in. I’m burning my gardening catalagues, as now we are a whole month or more behind. It’s raining! yay!
It’s snowing. I hate Mother Nature. Have your fling with Father Frost in September.
We now have still another 3 feet or more to melt. 10 ft. of snowbanks.
I hate snow. I used to love it.
I will be seeing tulips in August.
Why did we move here, anyway (NW Ontario).
That’s about it for my April.

My Month of April may seem a bit odd, My husband and I have decided to relocate his company to somewhere in Northern North Dakota. I had spent most of April packing things and donating surplus stuff to Goodwill and other local thrift shops. Our Apartment looks frightful.
