The Wordy Traveler

Dec 12, 2025 | Rita

If you are looking for a Christmas gift this year then might I suggest The Wordy Traveler. It is a subscription box for women who love to read and love travel. I will tell you that in all of my years of checking different boxes this is one of the best I have ever seen.

The Wordy Traveler Box

Now, the box does look banged up but that is my mail carrier more than anything. I don’t know why but he tends to throw things around and this happens a lot. I do love the box that it comes in as it looks like one of those old time suitcases or steamer trunk that women’s used to travel with.

The Wordy Traveler Box Front

I will say this is a good size box from The Wordy Traveler. A lot of times these boxes are on the smaller side but this one was not only large but full. I love the handle on the box. It adds a little something extra to it and honestly makes it easier to carry. I tend to drop things nowadays and that handle was a lifesaver. I almost dropped it twice just trying to put it on the counter.

The Wordy Traveler Box Open

As you can see there is not a lot of empty space inside the box. Again this is something that a lot of subscription boxes do so I was pleasantly surprised when this one didn’t have that.

The Wordy Traveler Box Inside

All of the different goodies inside the box made me happy just looking at them! You get 2-3 Main items from the country they select that quarter. Then you get other little items and of course a book.

The Wordy Traveler Passport

Got to have a passport if you are going to be traveling! I love this idea. It was so cute and added a little something extra.

The Wordy Traveler Bookmark

Who doesn’t love a bookmark? This one is so pretty and so very delicate. I will say that I have been using it in my daily planner. I mark the day that I am on easily and I find I smile each time I look at it.

The Wordy TRaveler Bowls (1)

The steel votive bowls are from India and I will tell you these were a hit in my house. My mother fell in love with them and I am pretty sure she has them now hidden in her bedroom somewhere.

The hammered design adds a little elegance to them that I didn’t think was possible. It certainly gives them the look and fell of being from another country. While they are modern they have a timelessness to them that my mother loves.

The Wordy Traveler Coffee

We aren’t big coffee drinkers anymore but this coffee from Byron Bay was so good. I love that it was a smaller pack since anything larger than this would have gone bad on us.

The Wordy Traveler Tea

This tea from the Ohio Tea Company was so good! I loved it more than I liked the coffee because I am a huge tea drinker. It didn’t have that aftertaste that you can sometimes get with teas.

The Wordy Traveler Chopsticks in box

Ma stole these right away. She has a thing about chopsticks and when you add in Panda Chopsticks from China well, she was a goner. They went into her “for decoration only” pile of things. You know all those things you mother swears is just to look at and not use. They are like that hand towel in the bathroom that is the guest towel but never gets used.

The Wordy Traveler Anchors

The anchor ornament/bookmarks are cute. I say they are both because they could certainly be used as either. They also could be used on packaging. It really just depends on how you want to use the,

The Wordy Traveler Charms

These charms are too cute for words! I haven’t decided what I am going to use them on but I am loving them. I was thinking about using them for my 2026 planner in some way but I am just not sure right now. Of course I could always use them on ribbon when I wrap presents this year as well. That would make the package a little extra special. Especially the beach themed items I got my sister in-law

I also received a book with the box. However, I forgot to take a picture and now that book is in a box of books and I am not sure which one. We have been moving, which has taken way longer than it should have, and I am no where near being ready to unpack the books. The room they are going in has not yet been finished. So for that I am so sorry!

Subscribe Today

You can subscribe to The Wordy Traveler for only $79 per quarter plus $12.99 shipping. If you prepay for the whole year your shipping is free. You do have the option of getting only one box for $99 plus the $12.99 shipping. Trust me when I tell you it is certainly worth the price.

I absolutely love the Panda chopsticks! This would be such a good gift for any time of the year.
