Simple Skillet Chicken with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs) thighs are more flavorful
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter real butter (it tastes better)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 lemon - just the Juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Season both sides of the chicken with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly and add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to combine and scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  • Let it simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or a simple salad for a complete meal that feels effortless but still brings everyone to the table.
