Cook’n Recipe Organizer Software

Jan 18, 2012 | Rita

My recipes are all over the place!  I have them in books, boxes, random bookmarks on my web browser, I even have a box that is full of them.  When I received this Recipe Organizer software for review I was excited, but also dreading, the huge task of getting all my recipes in one place.

Getting started with Cook’n was easy,  I watched their ‘overview’ video first.  The first thing I fell in love with about this product is all the support for it.  Any questions I could come up with had answers with video responses on their site. The next thing I fell in love with is that you have everything in one place. Since I am still working on losing weight portion control, calories, etc are all very important. Cook’n  allows me to list it all.

Once I got the hang of it, recipes were just flying into my own virtual book.  I love that I can capture recipes from online as well and then add them to my book. So now when I am surfing the web, if I come across a recipe I don’t have to find paper to write it on to turn on the printer. This software is that it is really like having 5 products in 1.  It’s an electronic cookbook, recipe manager, menu planner, grocery list generator, and personal home nutritionist.

What a time saver!  I make a menu for my week, print out my grocery list, and know exactly how many calories I will be consuming!  And each of those steps are customizable!  For example, since I’m a calorie counter I set it to count my calories, but you can make it count whatever you want… carbs, protein, etc.  And, it calculates the nutrition information of the recipes on it’s own!  I was scared that I would have to manually input all that…  but all you do is hit the “nutrition” button, and BAM!  It’s all there!

The best part is 1 lucky Rita Reviews reader will get this amazing software for themselves.

I like that you can Sync Recipes with iPhone, iPad, & Android that is handy espeically when shopping and you need your list of ingredients.

I learned that this software is for PC or Mac, which is great since I have a Mac.

I learned that you can make chapter-like headings to divide up recipes, and that you can easily export your recipes to a blog or website. Awesome!

It’s great that you can search for a recipe by inputting ingredients you have on hand.

Greatly skilled piece of work. Much has been presented concerning this topic lately, however I learn more from your well reasoned viewpoint.
