Friday Cocktails – August 20, 2021

Aug. 20, 2021

It’s Friday again and time for Friday Cocktails! We have been missing these for a little while and I thought I would work hard to get back into them today. I actually have a lot of stuff today and honestly am more than a little behind but I am working on getting it all out here.

It’s funny because when your children or parents get ill you jump right into caregiver mode and can handle anything. You get ill and it’s like the world is ending, the sky is falling, and all of those other horrible things. Getting my head wrapped around things hasn’t been easy. Add in the million doctors appointment each week and I feel like I am swimming in a mountain of stress and worry.

Finding a New Balance

This is my goal for the upcoming week. Finding a new balance between work and life. My health and everything else. I know that it can be done because people do it everyday. For me it is just getting things together and getting it done.

Changes

I knw I spoke with y’all before about changes that will be taking place such as me no longer blogging over at GMFI. You will begin to notice some changes here as well. Nothing major, at least not yet, but there will be new categories and new topics as I share my journey with y’all. There is certainly going to be more food talk and older posts will begin to get updated to showcase the new direction a bit more. Like I said, nothing major or huge as of yet.

WEEKLY FINDS I LOVE

These will be coming back soon. At this moment I am just so busy with my health issues that I haven’t found the time to get any done. I promise though things are beginning to settle a bit and I will be able to get onto a schedule I can handle.

Pull up a chair and stay awhile. I come from a family that tells the same stories over and over again. I don’t mean occasionally either.
