Friday Cocktails – September 3, 2021

Sep. 03, 2021

Friday Cocktails Featured 2021- and beyond - Rita Reviews

It’s the first Friday of the month and not only is it time for Friday Cocktails but it also time to talk about our monthly goals. This month I am not missing a single Friday with these posts for y’all. I know how much you enjoy them and I do as well.

This week has been a pretty full one with doctor’s appointments, my birthday on Monday, and a few other things. Add in that today is grocery day and I am a busy gal. So lets jump right into all of it.

SEPTEMBER GOALS

This is something a little new to the Friday Cocktails but I felt like I needed to share my goals with y’all. Like maybe by sharing them I will be held a little more. So for this month I would to achieve the following:

  1. Begin going through old posts as I have updated some categories and need to get them changed.
  2. Prep the holiday posts and themes for y’all
  3. Get ahead on some articles that can be prewritten
  4. Stay on track with my new healthcare plan –I struggled a few days this month

5 FINDS THIS WEEK

5 Finds This Week at Rita Reviews

This week we are all about the keto diet I am on. I am sharing with you some items that I have tried and enjoy. You can click any of the images to go to the items on Amazon. I love shopping on Amazon and you can find all of the items on my various lists here. I add to them all the time so be sure to check often.

I have found that I enjoy this granola more than I thought I would. Many of these Keto foods taste odd to me. I am learning to liking them more but it is a learning curve. This tastes good though and I can eat it for breakfast or as a small snack.

I am still struggling with not having any sweets. This are really low in carbs and sugar which means I can have a few. This helps curb my sweet craving without leaving full of regret. Some days I just need a little treat.

I am still working to understand fat bombs and what they are. To me they are a snack but I do know they serve a purpose. These are snacks for me as well. I know that snacking is bad but due to my insulin levels being all over the place I occasionally need a little snack.

I love bread and it is a problem for me which I know. These breads allow me to have a sandwich occasionally without feeling guilty. One thing i have learned is that guilt is a huge part of my dieting. I know it shouldn’t be but right now that is what happens.

I don’t always know what foods are allowed or not allowed. That is why I have this cheat sheet on my fridge. I also carry it with me to the grocery store. I can quickly look at what is allowed and what is not. I can’t tell you how helpful this has been.

    Pull Up a Chair: August 21, 2026August 21, 2026
Pull up a chair and stay awhile. I’ve been thinking about something lately, and maybe it’s because this is my birthday month. Maybe it’s because the older I get, the more I notice things I never paid much attention to when I was younger. Whatever the reason, I’ve realized that the things I appreciate most these days aren’t the big, flashy moments I used to think would make life feel complete. They’re the simple things. When I was younger, I imagined happiness looking a lot…

Key Takeaways Table of Contents A well-planned dining room should feel just as useful for a quick Tuesday dinner as it does for a birthday meal or holiday gathering. Browsing premium dining room furniture collections in Oklahoma can help you compare table sizes, chair styles, and storage pieces with your room’s real needs in mind. The goal is not to create a space that stays untouched until the company arrives. It is to build a room where people can eat, talk, work, play games, and…

  • Ordering Pizza on a Wednesday Isn’t Giving UpAugust 19, 2026
Somewhere along the way, we turned pizza into a weekend event. Friday night? Pizza. Saturday movie night? Pizza. Football game? Definitely pizza. But order one on a random Wednesday afternoon and somebody always seems to ask, “What’s the occasion?” The occasion is that I’m tired. That’s enough. I’ve spent enough years thinking every meal had to be homemade to count. Somewhere in my head I convinced myself that a good week meant planning every supper, cooking every meal, and somehow enjoying every minute of it….

What to Know Before Buying a Hybrid CarAugust 18, 2026
Hybrid cars bridge that gap between fully electric and gas engines. The two are paired within one system, allowing drivers to use one or the other depending on driving conditions. This setup is perfect for those looking for more eco-friendly driving options but can’t or don’t want to commit to going fully electric. And hybrid cars allow you to use less fuel than a standard gas engine alone without the need to be plugging in or changing how you drive. It’s often seen as a…
