Ghiradelli {She Speaks}

Ghirardelli has always been one of  my favorite chocolatiers.  I particularly enjoy their Milk & Caramel and Dark Chocolate & Mint Squares.  So when I was given the chance by SheSpeaks to try out the newest flavor in their Squares line I just couldn’t come up with a reason to say no to that?

The new flavor is called Milk & Truffle.  It features an outer shell of the smooth, creamy Ghirardelli milk chocolate that we all love, with a rich, darker chocolate truffle filling.

I am not a big fan of dark chocolates they just always seem to be a bit too rich for me, but the milk chocolate outer layer helped balance out the darker chocolate flavor.  These squares were very rich, so much so that I could only eat one at a time which my pants probably thank me for. I hid them from the kids because I didn’t want them to get into them and eat them all before I had a chance to enjoy them. I am glad that I did because they would have tore through these, they are that good.

These Milk & Truffle squares are perfect when you want just a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth, or need a great pick me up at the end of a long day.  They are the ultimate in  “grown up” snacks. I say that because I would not want my kids to have them, they cannot properly appreciate and enjoy the craftsmanship that goes into making these.
