It’s the Fourth of July and I hope that you all are out having a great time. We are spending the day with my brother as well as family and friends. Taking the time to remember just what the day means to us and how glad we are that we live in this amazing country. Today is the day that our forefathers declared our independence and stood up to those who would oppress us. There are many times when we have forgotten all that they went through in order for us to be the free people we are today.
Those brave men (and women who worked just as hard behind the scenes) signed our Declaration of Independence without a second thought. They didn’t care that if things went badly, they would be killed and in a rather horrific way. All they knew was that someone had to stand up to tyranny. That brave spirit and soul is what has made our country what it is today. Even when we forget we still stand strong.
Go out and enjoy the day! If you have a moment where you can thank a serviceman or woman then do that as well. Remember their sacrifices allows freedom to continue to endure regardless of what the future may hold.
