Holiday Travel Guide:Hera’s Revenge by: Wendy Dingwall

Nov. 15, 2012

Hera's Revenge

About the Book:

Hera’s Revenge is the first book in the Yvonne Suarez Travel Mystery series. From sunny metropolitan Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where the Pinkerton Travel agency is located across from the famous Galt Ocean Mile, to exotic destinations around the world, this series is sure to carry readers along on an exciting adventure.

In Hera’s Revenge, when an airport employee turns up dead in baggage claim upon their arrival in Athens, the Pinkerton Travel Group gets off to a rocky start. How far will travel agent Yvonne Suarez go to keep her tourists safe and her tour on track?

David Ludlow needs a vacation from his stressful job, and this itinerary to the land of mythology, Greek philosophers, and early democrats is just the ticket to a leisurely escape, until grumpy passengers, missing museum art, and deathly accidents plague their journey.

Will Yvonne’s fear of losing control stand in the way of solving these crimes? Who among her travel companions can she trust? Is David using Yvonne and her tour to solve his own dangerous mystery? Find the answers to these questions and get to know Yvonne Suarez in Hera’s Revenge.

My Thoughts:

I usually hate books that have a lot of characters to follow (unless it is an epic) but I will say that Mrs. Dingwall does an excellent job of creating all the characters so that while each has their own identity the story still flowed very smoothly. For a debut novel I will say that is excellent work. I loved the mix of Mythology, Greece, and Mystery.  I think the best thing was how the mystery sort of crept up on you as though you were actually watching it all unfold.

This sounds like a good book, I do like books with a lot of characters I’m a Sidney Sheldon fan and I often look for book similar to his writing since I’ve read every single one of his

I generally do read mysteries- and this doesn’t sound too bad. I like the mythology part in it too!
