Holiday Gift Guide: Auric Blends

Nov. 13, 2012

I am a bit of a sucker for great smelling products. My brothers and sister would say I tend to be a bit more “new age” than them.and maybe I am . I  carry my own bags to the grocery store and try to be green as much as possible.  That’s  why I was very pleased to tell you about Auric Blends for the holiday season this year.Their products are handcrafted and made from the highest quality ingredients from around the world.

I received three scents of the Perfume Roll Ons and the first was the Black Opium Roll On  which was something a little different for me. Yes, I too thought opium was a drug and no I’m not getting high. This was a little more exotic for me. It had a spicy smell that I couldn’t quite place but later in the day it smelled more of vanilla than the spiciness.

The Egyptian Goddess Perfume was wonderful and made me feel like Cleopatra. I could just see myself on my barge heading down the Nile (minus the death by asp please) anytime I put this on. It made me feel in charge. There was an outstanding blend of floral, powder, and musk to make this very much a feminine perfume. While the Love Perfume was very warm and spicy and will be my winter perfume for sure. As far as perfume goes I could not ask for anything better.

I actually like the handmade perfumes a lot- I haven’t tried these particular kinds but have tried the smaller shops in the past. I will have to take a look at what they offer.

Warm, spicy, vanilla and musk are all words I like when describing perfumes. From your descriptions, I like these blends 🙂

Sounds like a great company, I don’t like traditional ‘girly’ perfumes, my favorite scents are sandalwood and Blood Orange. The Opium may be a bit too heavy but I’d like to check them out and see what they have. I also like roll ons the best, I alway spray too much in one area and I smell too strong.
