Managing Common Health Problems Holistically Volume 1 by: Orchid Ch’ng

Jul. 11, 2012

About the Book:

This health book uses simple everyday language that is easily understood, which addresses nine of the most common health problems including: Acne, Allergies, Arthritis, Asthma, Colds & Flu, Depression, Diabetes, Eczema & High Blood Pressure/Hypertension. It uses a natural/holistic approach, which includes Western herbal medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, with assistance from the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center.

My Thoughts:

Like many of you I am familiar with a lot of the issues addressed in Managing Common Health Problems Holistically Volume 1. However I was not very familiar with most of the remedies. I didn’t know that Chinese medicine suggests that allergies sufferers consume “local” honey as a way to remedy the allergies. What they mean, I have learned, is to consume honey made by local bees who are making honey from the pollen of local blooms. I hope I have explained that correctly. I also had a flair of my cystic acne while reading this book and was able to help it heal much quicker than normal. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an alternative way to treat a lot of common issues.

Even though I am Chinese, I didn’t know about the local bee honey so this is a great tip! Thanks for it and the review! It’s always great when something natural works.
