Friday Cocktails – June 18, 2021

Jun. 18, 2021

Friday Cocktails June 18 2021 - Rita Reviews

Friday has rolled back around and it is time for Friday Cocktails! The kids are off to their father’s for the summer and I am spending some time on my own. Some of you may be thinking what in the world would I be doing off on my own. Well I have been visiting with some friends and just enjoying myself. Don’t worry we are all staying safe and have had had our vaccine.

It’s always a little surreal the first few days I am alone. I feel like the teenager whose parents left them alone for the weekend.

journaling bible I use

BIBLE JOURNALING

I have been spending some time reading my bible and bible journaling. I am not the best at that which is why I use a journal bible that all I have to do is color in the sides. You can see it in the picture above. I am loving this bible and so thrilled I got it. I saw it first on Etsy but it was customized and honestly more than I wanted to spend on a bible. So, I went in search of a plan one and found it on Amazon. I have it linked down below in the Weekly Finds. Each day I spend about an hour reading and journaling in my bible. I have found that is helping me get a better grip on my day. One thing I have been learning during this time “off” is that I can take better control of so much of my life. Little things that I allow to stress myself out about. I have been starting my days differently and a little earlier than when I am at home. it is something I plan to keep on during after I return. It has been making such a huge difference.

WEEKLY FINDS I LOVE

Since I’m talking about bible journaling I thought I would share with you the supplies I use and some that I want to get. You can click any of the images to go to the items on Amazon. I love shopping on Amazon and you can find all of the items on my various lists here. I add to them all the time so be sure to check often.

The Promises of God Bible for Creative Journaling: This is the exact bible that I use. I love it and couldn’t be happier with it.

My Prayer Journal: A 3 Month Guide To Prayer: I don’t use this but it a journal to write down prayers and other things.

Prayer Journal for Women: 52 Week Scripture : I was given this for Christmas and am currently loving it. I use it everyday and will most likely buy it when this one is full.

Mr. Pen- Fineliner Pens No Bleed, Bible Pens: I also use these pens. Mr. Pen has highlighters too. None of them bleed which makes them beyond perfect.

Faber-Castell Gelatos Pastels Color Set: These are suppose to be great for bible journaling. They are on my list to buy sometime in the next few months.

NIV, Journal the Word Bible for Girls: I got this bible for Victoria and she loves it. It allows her to journal as well which is something that she loves to do. She is better at it than I am.

204 Pcs Bible Tab,132 Colorful Floral Tabs, Laminated: I use these tabs on my bible. They make finding chapters much easier on me.

Bible Journaling for the Fine Artist: journaling techniques : I’m not an artist but I saw this and thought people might enjoy it.

Bible and Breakfast: 31 Mornings with Jesus: I found this book one morning and just fell in love with it. It is so

The items above are some a few items that either use and love or that I am interested in. There is so many more items for those who bible journal and if you are artistic at all you will be able to do so much more than me. I can’t draw or hand letter which is the biggest reason I selected the bible I did. No matter what you choose to do or not do I hope that you all are having the best week possible.
